be grateful every single dayDay 4 was filled with fun and excitement. It was Sunday. My mother made a short visit in our house from our hometown. My brother planned on having a lunch out after attending the mass.

So, from Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Pajac, Lapu-Lapu, we went to Cebu Yacht Club for their famous Bucket Shrimp Restaurant. The place was really relaxing. Though there are so many people having their lunch in the restaurant, still, the calmness of the place prevailed. It was by the sea and you can see various yachts (in case you plan to rent one.)

Surprises at the Restaurant

While we were still waiting for our orders to be served, we are looking at the sea water with various kinds of fish. Though I don’t know their names, just merely seeing their very existence made me very excited. I took a few pictures of them.

My nephew, Jermie, pointed the small, colorful fish near the rope that was submerged in the water. He said, he couldn’t get a nice shot of the fish because the camera got blurred. So, I checked, and it’s in Manual mode. So, I changed it to Automatic mode, to make it much better.

To my surprise, after I took a picture of that fish, I saw a lot of the bigger ones below the deck that we were walking. I got only a few pics since I couldn’t adjust the lens well, plus my mother keeps on telling me not to come near the ledge (as always moms are very protective.)

Quick tour in the City

After the sumptuous lunch, we traveled towards J Center Mall, then to Mother of Perpetual Help РRedemptorist Church in Cebu. We dropped by a few minutes to light some candles and say a few prayers. Actually, my brother used to live nearby at St.Alphonsus Collegiate Formation House for two years or so. Hence, both my mother and I are very much familiar and very connected to the place.

Then, we drove and passed the University of San Carlos – Main Campus where my brother graduated. After then, we headed towards South Bus Terminal to drop our mother off. We drove her towards the terminal because she will be going home in our hometown – Malabuyoc, Cebu.

Key Takeaway

My mother’s short visit has given me the reason not to work on Sundays, and instead get the chance to spend more valuable time with family members. Though my father was in the province, I know that he is also happy knowing that our mother is very happy with us.

Finally, spending time with our loved ones is never a wasted time. In fact, it’s one of the most cherished moments we have in our lifetime. Hence, be happy and grateful that you have the chance to be with your family. Always be grateful and find time to share memories with them. ‘Coz, after all, nothing lasts forever, but memories may last for a lifetime and even beyond.
